Aris Zanteroglou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Basualdo in the 12th minute of play forced Jose F.C.'s goalkeeper Aris Zanteroglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Periklis Pagopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Hermann Hesse made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Bartolo Basualdo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aris Zanteroglou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aris Zanteroglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Basualdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torbjørn Trondsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Bartolo Basualdo in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jose F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 27th minute of the match Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a corner. Jose F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cris Ronaldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Basualdo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aris Zanteroglou saved Jose F.C. from getting behind. Aris Zanteroglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Basualdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermann Hesse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Panagakis in the 35th minute of the match. Bartolo Basualdo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aris Zanteroglou having to make a save. Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Basualdo in the 36th minute of play. Bartolo Basualdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bartolo Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aris Zanteroglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Themos Panagakis during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jose F.C. getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Themos Panagakis hit a great ball. Bartolo Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bartolo Basualdo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aris Zanteroglou having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Basualdo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Bartolo Basualdo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aris Zanteroglou. That made the score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. In the 59th minute, Bartolo Basualdo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Deportivo Popolizio FBC made a substitution. Tibor Nyilasi replaced Bartolo Basualdo. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jose F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cris Ronaldo was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players had a chance to rest. Cris Ronaldo made a great header on Deportivo Popolizio FBC's corner, it was just that Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou managed to reach the ball for a save. Jose F.C.'s Aris Zanteroglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Jose F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Tibor Nyilasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aris Zanteroglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibor Nyilasi in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute Olly Morgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aris Zanteroglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
