In the 3rd minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beliran Poblaciones kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Mendonça scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute of the game Dom Lugano made a throw-in which Váldson Bittencourt played forward. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 27th minute of the match. Beliran Poblaciones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Proença having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Bruno Fonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naldo Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bruno Fonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raigo Vananurm in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Mariano Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Fonso to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Bruno Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Ibiza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Ireno in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Mendonça got free with Rene Higuita in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bruno Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Fonso in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Club Ibiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Ibiza's Loco Mønster was substituted for Ştefan Vornicescu. Mariano Ireno kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Rene Higuita was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Fausto Mendonça capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Mendonça really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 68 minutes into the match, Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Mendonça. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Krzynowek in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Cacey 武磊 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raigo Vananurm in the 74th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Cacey 武磊 came free, but Naldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacey 武磊 in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 87th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Ireno hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Club Ibiza got a corner. Scarlet Speedster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Ireno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Club Ibiza's Mariano Ireno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Naldo Proença in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 94th minute, Jens-Ove Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Mariano Ireno in the 96th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Naldo Proença's left hand side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Scarlet Speedster walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
