When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Traian Hăvârneanu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Christophe Pourre. 95 minutes into the game, Robert Pirès recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armindo Salgado. Robert Pirès showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rakkestad IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
