When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Darwin Núñez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anis Achour to make any attempt to save it. In the 7th minute Ediberto Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tacettin Umay scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bayan Gugovski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Anis Achour managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bayan Gugovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Wootton in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Symba's Imed Akid got a free kick in the 28th minute. Ediberto Sampaio's late challenge caught a Symba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. Ediberto Sampaio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Bayan Gugovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tacettin Umay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Tomás San Juan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Gugovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tacettin Umay in the 45th minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Bayan Gugovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquiles Urtsin to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 52nd minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Merengue FC got a corner. Symba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ediberto Sampaio ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski got control of the ball when Tacettin Umay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darwin Núñez in the 59th minute of play. Bayan Gugovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tacettin Umay, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Merengue FC made a substitution. Everardo Nerio replaced Raimundo Gonsalvo. In the 68th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darwin Núñez to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
