Jan Koller's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Ademir Baptista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Deportivo Ortegano's Paz Ungo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Florinio in the 9th minute of play. Ademir Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Draxler in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Koller in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademir Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Severo came free, but Paz Ungo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Koller succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. In the 24th minute, Josué Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paz Ungo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Matungo Gaúcho booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Bambas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vito Severo fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 33rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Ortegano's Alexej Dragoun got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jan Koller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ademir Baptista made a huge save. Paz Ungo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Draxler charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Draxler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dario Draxler kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Matungo Gaúcho's Celedonio Florinio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paz Ungo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oinomoas Konstantatos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué Pinheiro made a kick off. Henk van Putten hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ademir Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Koller in the 54th minute of the match. Paz Ungo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Josué Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Paz Ungo made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Marcinho Sena sent off a good shot on target. Paz Ungo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Florinio in the 61st minute. Marcinho Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paz Ungo having to make a save. With a little luck, Deportivo Ortegano's Paz Ungo got control of the ball when Josué Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Ortegano made a substitution. Orland Uceda replaced Jan Koller. Deportivo Ortegano's Nicasio Guipuzcoa was substituted for Dario Draxler. Henk van Putten made in the 74th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcinho Sena. 75 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Paz Ungo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Pinheiro. Paz Ungo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcinho Sena in the 76th minute. Deportivo Ortegano's Orland Uceda got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcinho Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Paz Ungo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Pinheiro in the 82nd minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Paz Ungo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Ortegano's zone, Josué Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paz Ungo came out of the goal and Josué Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Guipuzcoa came free, but Ademir Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matungo Gaúcho played a much better game than Deportivo Ortegano and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Ortegano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
