Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristi Cicortaș in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrea Di Dio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristi Cicortaș did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Andrea Di Dio 8 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Cristi Cicortaș lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Andrea Di Dio. Cristi Cicortaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Di Dio having to interfere. Medero Arraz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Andrea Di Dio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Kamel Messina made a precise shot to the right of Andrea Di Dio. DEGHERFORCE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Medero Arraz scored 5-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrea Di Dio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Medero Arraz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrea Di Dio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Siim Übi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Genovesi in the 29th minute of play. Medero Arrazs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Andrea Di Dio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Andrea Di Dio managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when FC CORK CITY's Medero Arraz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eraldo Mantini's late challenge caught a FC CORK CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eraldo Mantini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, DEGHERFORCE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Mantini to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Cristi Cicortaș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristi Cicortaș to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristi Cicortaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Di Dio having to interfere. In the 52ndth minute of the game Medero Arraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DEGHERFORCE's Andrea Di Dio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamel Messina in the 55th minute of play forced DEGHERFORCE's goalkeeper Andrea Di Dio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Di Dio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Cicortaș in the 60th minute of the match. When Panayot Momchilov came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the FC CORK CITY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panayot Momchilov couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Bernardo Bonsignore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DEGHERFORCE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC CORK CITY the free kick. Bernardo Bonsignore kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 7-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Medero Arraz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 74 played minutes DEGHERFORCE got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Migliorati. In the 78thth minute of the game Medero Arraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DEGHERFORCE's Andrea Di Dio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of DEGHERFORCE booed when FC CORK CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Messina didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Medero Arraz in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Di Dio saved DEGHERFORCE from getting behind. Alvise Campana was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. Siim Übi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Sabatino, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 97 played minutes, FC CORK CITY's Panayot Momchilov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrea Di Dio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC CORK CITY reached it.
