The MaconhaFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dário Palmeira should have stopped the shot. 莫超凡 might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dário Palmeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 莫超凡 ran back to his position shaking his head. 柯川永 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Palmeira having to interfere. After the first half Real Sociedad were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guto Gomes to make the kick off. When Manfredo Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MaconhaFC's protests and gave Manfredo Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Manfredo Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dário Palmeira had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when 柯川永 from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. MaconhaFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when 许弘广 scored to the left of an out of position Dário Palmeira, making the score, 2-4. If Wellington Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MaconhaFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Sociedad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
