Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience was convinced that Isidro Reyes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Novaes was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After 57 played minutes Antinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Viana. The supporters of Talamuyuna booed when Antinha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Orlondon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Novaes having to interfere. Chicão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Isidro Reyes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 81 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Chicão Novaes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Chicão Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Orlondon in the 83rd minute of the match. Braulio Orlondon struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Chicão Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talamuyuna. When Marcelinho Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Antinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Chicão Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Orlondon in the 96th minute of play.
