After a defensive mix-up in Talamuyuna's zone, Guto Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Horado came out of the goal and Guto Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th match minute, Talamuyuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Rafel to maneuver through the defense. Guto Gomes took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teo Horado. Teo Horado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Teo Horado came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by MaconhaFC's Guto Gomes. But to his dismay, Guto Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A collision led to Talamuyuna getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Atilano Rafel hit a great ball. Guto Gomes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Teo Horado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MaconhaFC. In the 23rd match minute, Talamuyuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Guto Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Talamuyuna getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Melquiades Mercurio hit a great ball. A collision led to Talamuyuna getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Francisco Ihazintu hit a great ball. When Pedro Luís Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MaconhaFC's protests and gave Pedro Luís Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes MaconhaFC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Galvão. In the 39th minute of the match Gonzalo Txaran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Palmeira skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Guto Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. MaconhaFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Horado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teo Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Galvão in the 43rd minute of the match. Tomás Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes, Talamuyuna's Moises Cordairo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dário Palmeira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talamuyuna reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guto Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Honorio Nahia in the 51st minute really tested Dário Palmeira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Braulio Orlondon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dário Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Orlondon in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, MaconhaFC's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Orlondon came free, but Dário Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match, Melquiades Mercurio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dário Palmeira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Galvão in the 70th minute of play forced Talamuyuna's goalkeeper Teo Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Talamuyuna's Braulio Orlondon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dário Palmeira. Dário Palmeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Pedro Luís Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Horado having to interfere. Teo Horado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guto Gomes's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. With a little luck, MaconhaFC's Dário Palmeira got control of the ball when Isidro Reyes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Isidro Reyes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talamuyuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MaconhaFC the free kick. Isidro Reyes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dário Palmeira firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Guto Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teo Horado was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
