Rio Puerta's Mehmet Özbala got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Müfit Tayuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnapob Muangon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Brasil in the 31st minute of play forced Rio Puerta's goalkeeper Müfit Tayuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Müfit Tayuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Brasil in the 33rd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sek Kubkratouk couldn't finish the play. Luiz Gustavo Brasil was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johann Schopp got free with Müfit Tayuk in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Saphan Kwai's Johann Schopp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Müfit Tayuk. Müfit Tayuk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. A sloppy throw-in by Natawat Wongyai in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rio Puerta's Gazi Acarbey. If Ronnapob Muangon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gazi Acarbey hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Ronnapob Muangon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rio Puerta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Saphan Kwai were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
