In the 11th minute of the match, Aníbal Alagoano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dan Wennerqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Espadas in the 13th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Adrián Espadas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soroca F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Venceslao came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Venceslao in the 24th minute of play. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Espadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 41st match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Venceslao to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrián Espadas in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Seaman saved Jenipapo SC from getting behind. Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Jenipapo SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Soroca F.C. were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrián Espadas to make the kick off. David Seaman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrián Espadas in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Arósio in the 69th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Dan Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrián Espadass short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got David Seaman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Răzvan Necula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Seaman came out of the goal and Răzvan Necula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Atarrabi got free with David Seaman in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute of the match Soroca F.C. got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amador Venceslao ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cyprien Combaz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
