Lucas De Gea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 23rd minute of play. The corner led Barcellos Mineiro FC's Amílton Loyola to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucas De Gea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz got control of the ball when Douglas Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dale Dolar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal was substituted for Dale Dolar. The Barcellos Mineiro FC fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jorge Carrascal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
