Nilson Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 9th minute. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, ITAFUT 4EVER's Nilson Peres got control of the ball when Aníbal Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilson Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Börje Kämpe hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Henriques. After 16 played minutes ITAFUT 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Henriques. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 18th minute of play forced ITAFUT 4EVER's goalkeeper Nilson Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes Jenipapo SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jean-Paul Møffelmand who took care of the corner kick. ITAFUT 4EVER's Jean-Paul Møffelmand was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Seaman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. José Sand took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Seaman. David Seaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Sand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Sand came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Peres having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, José Sand notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Jenipapo SC's David Seaman. David Seaman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 minutes, Arsenio Gipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the ITAFUT 4EVER players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jenipapo SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The supporters of ITAFUT 4EVER booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 56th minute, Aníbal Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Jenipapo SC from getting a goal against them. The ITAFUT 4EVER supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ITAFUT 4EVER would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
