Aníbal Alagoano started the match with the kick off. Börje Kämpe got a throw-in 4 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vinicio Junior. Nilson Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Sand might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Seaman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Sand ran back to his position shaking his head. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Sand in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, José Sand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. David Seaman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Börje Kämpe hit a great ball. José Sand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. David Seaman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, ITAFUT 4EVER's José Sand dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After some careless play in the Jenipapo SC defense, José Sand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Seaman. The Jenipapo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Seaman should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Junior struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Nilson Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jenipapo SC. 37 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Sand came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Raphael Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jenipapo SC's protests and gave Raphael Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Raphael Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Nilson Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Sand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ITAFUT 4EVER's Nilson Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 51st minute of play. Jean-Paul Møffelmand made a great header on ITAFUT 4EVER's corner, it was just that Jenipapo SC's David Seaman managed to reach the ball for a save. Dylan Browne kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. ITAFUT 4EVER's Sidney Bertassi was substituted for Evelio Rico. ITAFUT 4EVER made a substitution. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Baggio came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nilson Peres. That made the score 4-2 after 79 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Börje Kämpe got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Jardel Baggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Jenipapo SC defense, Jardel Baggio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Seaman. The Jenipapo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Seaman should have stopped the shot. Jenipapo SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
