Sebastian Käller might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lew Yashin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Käller ran back to his position shaking his head. Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Kind of Blue from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Fioravanti got free with Wilhelm Galle in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Modlau's Lew Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Käller in the 88th minute of play. The Kind of Blue fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Modlau:s Lew Yashin showed great skill when he stopped Sebastian Käller:s penalty. The Kind of Blue supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kind of Blue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
