An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Vergaray in the 4th minute of play forced Banda's goalkeeper Victoriano Savier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Laureano Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 8th minute Laureano Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Vergaray might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Savier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laureano Vergaray ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Banda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ismael Abalos was slow to take the kick. During this time Adrogue FC's players had a chance to rest. Adrogue FC's Fidel Aznaro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victoriano Savier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Banda defense, Fidel Aznaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Savier. The Banda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Savier should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Raebert came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Banda getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nereo Gaueko hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Laureano Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Benedicto Raebert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franco Armani. The goal made the score 1-3. After 35 minutes of play, Adrogue FC's Juan Pablo Angel made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoriano Savier was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the match, Banda's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Vergaray came free, but Victoriano Savier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Raebert to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Laureano Vergaray dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victoriano Savier, 1-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Raebert in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Armani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victoriano Savier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Vergaray, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Laureano Vergaray reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victoriano Savier. The goal made the score 1-7. Laureano Vergaray struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Victoriano Savier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adrogue FC. Laureano Vergaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Savier having to interfere. Adrogue FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 75 minutes into the game, Laureano Vergaray recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victoriano Savier. Laureano Vergaray showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. The Adrogue FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Adrogue FC's Laureano Vergaray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Franco Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Mede in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Banda's goalkeeper Victoriano Savier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laureano Vergaray. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Laureano Vergaray took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Victoriano Savier to make any attempt to save it. In the 96th minute Erubiel Mede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Adrogue FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
