But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Lorencio couldn't finish the play. La Maquina 9-12-18's Jose Vimaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Santxol in the 10th minute of play. Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Rivermania FC from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Santxol came free, but Jose Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Baki Tecimer in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Lorencio in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Vimaro saved La Maquina 9-12-18 from getting behind. In the 22nd match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacobo Santxol in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Vimaro saved La Maquina 9-12-18 from getting behind. When Rivermania FC's Rosendo Flor in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Maquina 9-12-18's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st minute, Amado Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejo Bazkoare replaced Carmelo Vachon. In the 46th minute, Bruninho Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
