Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Lee Kang started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jack Nolan made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ging Root sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ed Topham during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of U21 South Korea booed when U21 Northern Ireland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Topham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Kane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Sharpe in the 15th minute of the match. Jack Nolan was a little too slow when Jimmy-Floyd Sung got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some careless play in the U21 Northern Ireland defense, Lee Kang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Nolan. The U21 Northern Ireland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Nolan should have stopped the shot. Harry Kane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Gallacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute Ging Root shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Nolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Northern Ireland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimmy-Floyd Sung was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 South Korea's players had a chance to rest. The corner led U21 South Korea's Jimmy-Floyd Sung to fire away a dangerous shot which Jack Nolan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, U21 South Korea's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Sharpe came free, but Harry Kane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 South Korea's 김 필 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Thompson in the 36 minute of the game. Keith Ripley charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keith Ripley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes U21 Northern Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Keith Ripley. Jack Nolan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jimmy-Floyd Sung. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Singleton during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes U21 Northern Ireland got a freekick which was hit by David Singleton. Jimmy-Floyd Sung took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jack Nolan. U21 Northern Ireland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, U21 South Korea's Lee Kang made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jack Nolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jack Nolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 필, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keith Ripley was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, U21 Northern Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Ging Root came free, but Jack Nolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 52nd minute of the match Keith Ripley completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Keith Ripley a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 56 played minutes U21 Northern Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Andy Sharpe. U21 Northern Ireland's Jack Nolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Kang in the 60th minute of play. Harry Kane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Gallacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 South Korea were furious when 강 편 was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to U21 South Korea getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. 강 편 hit a great ball. U21 South Korea made a substitution. Jo Haese replaced 김 옹. U21 Northern Ireland made a substitution. Ed Bell replaced Andy Sharpe. U21 South Korea's 김 신 was substituted for Jimmy-Floyd Sung. In the 71st match minute, U21 South Korea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 강 편 to maneuver through the defense. When 김 손 fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 South Korea's protests and gave 김 손 a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 South Korea booed when U21 Northern Ireland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Topham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Nolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 신, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Eric Lambert hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. U21 Northern Ireland's Jack Nolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 김 신 in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Northern Ireland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Min Jaeger was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 South Korea's players had a chance to rest. Richie Kitchen thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jack Nolan, a very annoying self made goal in the 80th minute which led to 5-0. In the 84th match minute, U21 Northern Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hawkins to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, U21 Northern Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when 김 신 came free, but Jack Nolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jack Nolan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 김 신 went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.
