The Drumdowney fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ricard Scully might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelsinho de Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricard Scully ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Drumdowney's goalkeeper Flann Byrne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabiano Linares. In the 81stth minute of the game Nico Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drumdowney's Flann Byrne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to New veneza getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fabiano Linares hit a great ball. If Sameer Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Freire got free with Flann Byrne in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Drumdowney's Flann Byrne got control of the ball when Tiaguinho Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. New veneza's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
