But to his dismay, Nico Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sandro Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes of play, NEUTRINOS de PANKU's Carlos Nogueira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelsinho de Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tostão Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Nico Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tiaguinho Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEUTRINOS de PANKU's protests and gave Tiaguinho Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, NEUTRINOS de PANKU's Tiaguinho Nascimento got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Elias Freire notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of NEUTRINOS de PANKU's Sandro Alagoano. Sandro Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandro Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Vinhas in the 38th minute of the match. NEUTRINOS de PANKU's Tiaguinho Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in New veneza's zone, Tostão Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelsinho de Amaral came out of the goal and Tostão Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, New veneza's Nelsinho de Amaral got control of the ball when Carlos Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half New veneza were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nelsinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Arruda in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Nico Pimenta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sandro Alagoano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. NEUTRINOS de PANKU's Sandro Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Pimenta in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Vítor Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NEUTRINOS de PANKU and the New veneza players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Vítor Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 minutes, Remo Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book.
