Flying Dutch were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after CERRO PORTEÑO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Higinio Raymundo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Flying Dutch's corner Higinio Raymundo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jiang Lei quite easily take care of the ball. Luís Paulo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohieddine Ayari, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Moreno Martins came free, but Luís Paulo Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24th play minutes Mohieddine Ayari shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Luís Paulo Romero and just under the crossbar into goal. 30 minutes into the game, CERRO PORTEÑO's Barto Crespo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Paulo Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save CERRO PORTEÑO from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohieddine Ayari made a kick off. Luís Paulo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 王树帆 in the 50th minute of the match. 王树帆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Luís Paulo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Moreno Martins took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Luís Paulo Romero to make any attempt to save it. If Mohieddine Ayari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flying Dutch's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Mohieddine Ayari scored to the left of an out of position Luís Paulo Romero, making the score, 0-4. In the 61st match minute, Flying Dutch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Xacintu to maneuver through the defense. Luís Paulo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 王树帆 in the 65th minute of play. Luís Paulo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohieddine Ayari, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If 王树帆 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, CERRO PORTEÑO's Luís Paulo Romero threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 王树帆, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 93rd match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Spets to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Raymundo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. CERRO PORTEÑO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
