After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Franco Bosch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal and Franco Bosch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermengol Baena made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Lei Jian Xiong sent off a good shot on target. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franco Bosch's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Szombathely Squirrels's József Varga was substituted for Arif Ozan Nefer. The wind increased when Tivadar Demeter made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Lei Jian Xiong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The audience was convinced that Lei Jian Xiong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermengol Baena was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After 75 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Bai Jun Chong made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermengol Baena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Tamás Szentesi replaced Bai Jun Chong. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Daniel Golob stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal and Daniel Golob tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
