Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Käller took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller. But to his dismay, Sebastian Käller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. August Hoffmanns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Käller in the 16th minute of play. When Sebastian Käller came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Kind of Blue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Käller couldn't finish the play. After 20th play minutes Sebastian Käller shot 0-3, a short shot which went by August Hoffmanns and just under the crossbar into goal. Anastasios Pallini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Käller came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximilian Henning hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sebastian Käller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kind of Blue's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Käller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle got control of the ball when Helmut Malinowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Käller took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anestis Kotsopoulos was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Hoffmanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kind of Blue were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joacim Hansson took the corner. The corner led Kind of Blue's Joacim Hansson to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sebastian Käller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Hoffmanns having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Wilhelm Galle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Anestis Kotsopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kind of Blue's Wilhelm Galle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Käller might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Käller ran back to his position shaking his head. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Käller, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Sebastian Käller made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Sebastian Käller tried to sneak it across the goal line. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Käller in the 70th minute of the match. Sebastian Käller took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Kind of Blue's Jonny Lagerberg was substituted for Anastasios Pallini. 77 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Käller came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Hoffmanns made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sebastian Käller sent off a good shot on target. Kind of Blue's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joacim Hansson in the 81st minute. The corner led Kind of Blue's Joacim Hansson to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Käller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 88th minute, Sebastian Käller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. August Hoffmanns was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. 91 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jonny Lagerberg came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Kind of Blue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Lagerberg couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Kind of Blue could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rot-Weiss-Essen throughout the match.
