The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eloi Ocomardia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Anders Lundqvist made a huge save. The supporters of VN SOKOLI-VARNA booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Tönnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lilko Timov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 10th minute of play. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Marian Todorov kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lilko Timov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Durazno, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rostislav Sitarski in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Lundqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when VN SOKOLI-VARNA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celil Zabit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lilko Timov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Durazno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes VN SOKOLI-VARNA got a freekick which was hit by Avram Octavian. Loco Durazno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lilko Timov was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Marian Todorov took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anders Lundqvist. Anders Lundqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Loco Durazno to strike the kick off in the second half. Rostislav Sitarski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anders Lundqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Rostislav Sitarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afşar Şahan in the 60th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goalkeeper Lilko Timov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 76 played minutes VN SOKOLI-VARNA got a freekick which was hit by Ayoub Adel. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Loco Durazno. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Mats Nyström replaced Georg Termander. After 77 played minutes VN SOKOLI-VARNA got a freekick which was hit by Ayoub Adel. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloi Ocomardia in the 83rd minute of the match. Enver Heybetli kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burç Tokhan in the 86th minute of play forced VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goalkeeper Lilko Timov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burç Tokhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Lilko Timov made a huge save. Golden Lions FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
