Ronalds McDonald started the match with the kick off. 11 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Astor Hug narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronalds McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Lundqvist having to interfere. Pedro Luís da Rocha hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Astor Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Durazno in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Desportivo Coala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 29th minute of play. Anders Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronalds McDonald's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Desportivo Coala's Astor Hug proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Desportivo Coala from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Durazno in the 45th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Astor Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Loco Durazno made a kick off. Desportivo Coala's Astor Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Alcântara. Loco Durazno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Astor Hug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Hug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Durazno in the 58th minute of the match. When Pedro Luís da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desportivo Coala's protests and gave Pedro Luís da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. İbrahim Efe Topdemir replaced Marcelo Steven. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Coala's Pedro Luís da Rocha got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Loco Durazno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Bebben Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Lions FC's Mats Nyström was substituted for Georg Termander. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Burç Tokhan replaced Loco Durazno. 74 minutes into the match, Mats Nyström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Hug. Desportivo Coala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Nyström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. İbrahim Efe Topdemir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Astor Hug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Hug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Efe Topdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The throw-in from Sigvard Dahlkvist in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Desportivo Coala's Gilvan Azevedo. In the 88th minute, Burç Tokhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Hug was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by İbrahim Efe Topdemir in the 94th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Astor Hug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Golden Lions FC's İbrahim Efe Topdemir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Hug made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Desportivo Coala's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
