The BoomFunkMCs fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when BoomFunkMCs's Kjell Söderström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sten Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Bilintx in the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Kjell Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Istvan Kowalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Chorrillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. Istvan Kowalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Söderström in the 16th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Chorrillos FC's Alfonso Bilintx slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sten Månsson. That made the score 2-1 after 17 minutes of play. Rosendo Peruanton had several of the BoomFunkMCs's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Sten Månsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjell Söderström in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Istvan Kowalski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sigvard Gudmundsson's late challenge caught a Chorrillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sigvard Gudmundsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chorrillos FC booed when BoomFunkMCs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Gudmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Bilintx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sten Månsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Alfonso Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BoomFunkMCs's Sten Månsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 minutes, Leon Alvarez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chorrillos FC and the BoomFunkMCs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chorrillos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! In the 34th minute, Kjell Söderström made a precise shot to the right of Istvan Kowalski. Chorrillos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 37 minutes into the match, Rosendo Peruanton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sten Månsson. BoomFunkMCs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rosendo Peruanton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Istvan Kowalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Gaston Ferrer took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Sten Månsson to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosendo Peruanton got free with Sten Månsson in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-2 at half-time.

If Rosendo Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelino Abadia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sten Månsson. BoomFunkMCs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelino Abadia kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes, BoomFunkMCs's Kjell Söderström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Istvan Kowalski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BoomFunkMCs reached it. Kjell Söderström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Istvan Kowalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. If Rosendo Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Staffan Lundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Istvan Kowalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sten Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chorrillos FC booed when BoomFunkMCs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Björkkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball.
