In the 15th minute, Jael Jardel made a precise shot to the right of Sydney Barros. Granadero10's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marcelo Passos took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Barros. Sydney Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ivo Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Marcin Rekowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Gugu Travassos made a precise shot to the right of Gil Guerra. Grêmio 20 Julho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The Grêmio 20 Julho fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Grêmio 20 Julho's Jael Jardel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gil Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandrinho Leite in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Passos came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Passos in the 40th minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Sydney Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Guerra having to interfere. Dorio Galera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jael Jardel was the one to do the kick off. Sydney Barros made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Dorio Galera sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, Gugu Travassos notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Grêmio 20 Julho's Gil Guerra. Gil Guerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute Jael Jardel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Travassos came free, but Gil Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Jael Jardel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sydney Barros. The goal made the score 2-4. Gugu Travassos struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Gil Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granadero10. In the 91st match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Grêmio 20 Julho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grêmio 20 Julho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
