After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Richard Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Abreu in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Leal to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Kaká Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Abreu in the 32nd minute of play. Kaká Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Mota having to interfere. Tomé Mota acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Richard Travassos. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in AF CERRADO's zone, Tiago Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandrinho Sabóia came out of the goal and Tiago Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd match minute, Agua Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sandrinho Sabóia made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Matos came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Renatinho Leal hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Matos. Tiago Cosme hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 74th minute of play. When AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Agua Santa's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zé Roberto Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Zé Roberto Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Basílio Abraão got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Kaká Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Tomé Mota. Agua Santa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Enrique Abreu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Agua Santa's Tomé Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Goiano in the 88th minute of play. Frank Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frank Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Kaká Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tomé Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the AF CERRADO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
