Agua Santa's Tomé Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Veiga in the 4th minute of play. But to his dismay, Fred Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Dedê Mendes got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Fred Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Meirelles couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Tiago Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agua Santa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milan da Freguesia F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Milan da Freguesia F.C. booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Frank Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Tiago Cosme hit a great ball. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Veiga in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Rafael Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomé Mota. Agua Santa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Fred Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Rafael Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Abreu in the 46th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Júlio Macedo put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Milan da Freguesia F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agua Santa:s goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Rosa made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Fred Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Abreu in the 65th minute of the match. Agua Santa's Tomé Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Paraense in the 67th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fred Meirelles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomé Mota. That made the score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Agua Santa's zone, Otávio Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Mota came out of the goal and Otávio Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Zé Roberto da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Tiago Cosme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agua Santa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Otávio Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Milan da Freguesia F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Otávio Paraense hit a great ball. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th match minute, Milan da Freguesia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Rezende to maneuver through the defense. After 102 played minutes Milan da Freguesia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto da Costa.
