In the 9th minute, Dedê Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vidal came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Enrique Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio da Costa having to interfere. Caio da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Velloso in the 26th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Frank Rosa made the kick off in the second half. Abutres 2003 FDP's Caio da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Abutres 2003 FDP from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tiago Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agua Santa's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Abutres 2003 FDP:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Agua Santa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugênio Monteiro in the 79th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Enrique Abreu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Rafael Cruz put in a rough tackle. Agua Santa made a substitution. Aílton de Mendonça replaced Oséas Trigo. Rafael Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Mendonça notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Agua Santa's Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 97 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Pernambucano. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
