Sandrinho Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Sandrinho Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Waldemar Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Kaká Goiano sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the game, Kaká Goiano lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Bernardo Corrêa. If Jefferson Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Kaká Goiano made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardo Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jefferson Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Kaká Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Corrêa. Vascogoianiense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaká Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 47 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Artur Sergipano. Ian Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandrinho Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Goiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Artur Sergipano. In the 54th minute Evandro Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes AF CERRADO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ian Loureiro who took care of the corner kick. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Gonçalves. 75 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Goiano came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Gonçalves in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renatinho Leal in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Corrêa saved Vascogoianiense FC from getting behind. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Evandro Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Goiano in the 96th minute of play. AF CERRADO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
