After 27 minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Epifanio Cebrian who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Bernard Sierocki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo did a great save. The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flóki van Dam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Bernard Sierocki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard Sierocki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Linhares in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Vides came free, but Teodoro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio de Azevedo was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Sierocki in the 43rd minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Epifanio Cebrian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio de Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luiz Vides to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Paulo Linhares got free with Sérgio de Azevedo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luís Paulo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Paulo Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sérgio de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Paulo Linhares in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, André Luiz Vides made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Jacinto. São Paulo da Floresta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Bernard Sierocki took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sérgio de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. Luís Paulo Linhares's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sérgio de Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sérgio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernard Sierocki's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when São Paulo da Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Tavares in the 90th minute of play. Luís Paulo Linhares struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo da Floresta.
