After 13 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Severino Mendes. In the 14th minute Nestor Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Granadero10's Sydney Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Dante in the 14th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Capivariano F.C. got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Silva. With 19 minutes on the clock, Narciso Pombal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th match minute, Capivariano F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Pombal to maneuver through the defense. Silvinho Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Granadero10 defense, Nestor Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Barros. The Granadero10 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Barros should have stopped the shot. Magno Prata's late challenge caught a Capivariano F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magno Prata helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Granadero10's Magno Prata got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Erivaldo Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Capivariano F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nestor Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nestor Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Sena to maneuver through the defense. Dino Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Linhares in the 76th minute of play. Dino Nóbrega took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Barros. Sydney Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Dante in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Nestor Dante notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Granadero10's Sydney Barros. Sydney Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Travassos to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th match minute, Capivariano F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Barbosa got free with Silvinho Berger in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Dante in the 96th minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Sydney Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Granadero10's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
