Cipriano Pinho's late challenge caught a ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Cipriano Pinho got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Nuno Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hudson Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedê Mendes made a great header on Agua Santa's corner, it was just that ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes managed to reach the ball for a save. Oswaldo Nunes came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Agua Santa's Cipriano Pinho. But to his dismay, Cipriano Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Nascimento in the 38th minute. Emerson Motta hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Rosa in the 48th minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Oswaldo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ from getting a goal against them. Luiz Nascimento hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Cruz during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, one of Agua Santa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Agua Santa. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ. Hudson Melo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nuno Neves. 2-1. Oswaldo Nunes made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dinei Cearense sent off a good shot on target. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Agua Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hudson Melo took the corner. After taking down the ball on ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's corner Hudson Melo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nuno Neves quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Diego Pena got a free kick in the 84th minute. Oswaldo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Oswaldo Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê Mendes. In the 97th minute of the match, Frank Rosa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oswaldo Nunes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
