Percy Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Leme having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's Percy Cearense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Pedro Catarinense made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Michel Zanette immediately put the ball in play. Arí Custódio might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arí Custódio ran back to his position shaking his head. André Luiz Prado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Reynaldo Andrade got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Custódio came free, but Wilson Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Cearense in the 30th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Andrade. Percy Cearense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Leme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Luiz Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percy Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the game Sérgio Gaúcho made a throw-in which Válter Falcão played forward. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Rômulo Guimarães got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Arí Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dogelo's protests and gave Arí Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Dogelo got a freekick which was hit by Arí Custódio. In the 74th minute, Nilton Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dogelo's Luiz Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Vander in the 76th minute of play. Luiz Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber de Carvalho in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Wilson Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Pedro Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dogelo's zone, Wilson Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Leme came out of the goal and Wilson Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
