After 11 minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sílvio Vides who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Zé Pedro Porto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fernando Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Garro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Garro in the 18th minute of play forced AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Fernando Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Rodrigo Garro fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Teles in the 23rd minute of play forced AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Fernando Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silas Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Kennedy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Durval Messias came out and tried to block the shot, but John Kennedy slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Fernando Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Teles in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy Gerber was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Caetano Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Durval Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Kennedy in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Coritiba Foot Ball Club's zone, John Kennedy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Messias came out of the goal and John Kennedy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Dantas in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match, Walmir Teles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernando Diniz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 78th minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Cacá Britovskiy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernando Diniz. Fernando Diniz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Rodrigo Garro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Diniz came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodrigo Garro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 85th minute. With a little luck, AnÐaRaHy's Fernando Diniz got control of the ball when Rodrigo Garro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tadeo Estefan lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 89 minutes into the game, one of Coritiba Foot Ball Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Coritiba Foot Ball Club:s Durval Messias showed great skill when he stopped Eskil Gustafsson:s penalty. After 95 minutes, Eskil Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AnÐaRaHy and the Coritiba Foot Ball Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Eskil Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
