After 11 played minutes, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Waldir Araújo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Furtado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coritiba Foot Ball Club reached it. But to his dismay, Rafinha Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rafinha Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Custódio in the 21st minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Durval Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cacá Britovskiy in the 22nd minute. If Cacá Britovskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Jorge Furtado got control of the ball when Walmir Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line.
