Amedeo Gentile made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Hudson Damião sent off a good shot on target. Hudson Damião came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Amedeo Gentile could save by the left post. In the 9th minute Florian Pietrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Walmir Arce had to leave the field with a concussion. 14 minutes into the game, Alfonso Petrella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chatuba FC the free kick. After 14 played minutes Monza got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Petrella. If Florian Pietrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Ciccone hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Amedeo Gentile made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Hudson Damião sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Chatuba FC's Hudson Damião dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Florian Pietrini came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Monza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Pietrini couldn't finish the play. When Florian Pietrini, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Aníbal Leal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Carlo Schirone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dadá Bittencourt, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Monza getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alfonso Petrella hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Amos Salerno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amos Salerno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florian Pietrini made a kick off. When Amos Salerno came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Monza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Salerno couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Petrella kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Dadá Bittencourt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amedeo Gentile showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfonso Petrella hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Monza's Florian Pietrini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aníbal Leal. Aníbal Leal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amos Salerno during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chatuba FC booed when Monza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Salerno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Monza's Amos Salerno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aníbal Leal. That made the score 1-2 after 74 minutes of play. Amedeo Gentile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hudson Damião's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Amos Salerno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute of the match Monza got a corner. Chatuba FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amos Salerno ran over to the corner to take the kick. Monza's Amedeo Gentile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Damião in the 89th minute of play. If Amos Salerno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Chatuba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Salerno came free, but Aníbal Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monza played a much better game than Chatuba FC and deserved their victory. The Chatuba FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
