In the 21st minute of the match, Luiz Gustavo Motta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arve Olstad was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gildo Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Christian Valde's shot from short distance in the 24th minute.
