With his leg Péter Simkó managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Sakálok's Caspar Motter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bálint Szarka in the 9th minute of play. Thanos Kolompár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Béla Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Zoltán Bíró hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanos Kolompár in the 17th minute of play forced Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakálok's Károly Kutasi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Muhammet Dirican in the 21 minute of the game. Béla Hudák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanos Kolompár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bálint Szarka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Béla Hudák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caspar Motter got free with Péter Simkó in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Eike Hörtnagel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sakálok getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Károly Kutasi hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa's Zoltán Bíró in action when he in the 42nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thanos Kolompár was the one to do the kick off. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Kolompár in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa's goal looked a bit too open when Eike Hörtnagel came free, but Péter Simkó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zoltán Bíró could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Béla Hudák made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Sakálok's goalkeeper Béla Hudák had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Csanád Bács. Csanád Bács kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sakálok made a substitution. Albert Hupach replaced Carlos Alberto Torres. Sakálok's Anfilogino Contaldi was substituted for Eike Hörtnagel. In the 71st match minute, 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csanád Bács to maneuver through the defense. Anfilogino Contaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. Anfilogino Contaldi's late challenge caught a 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anfilogino Contaldi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of 1866 Lokomotiv Kanizsa booed when Sakálok was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Contaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Contaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Caspar Motter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
