Ferenc Sipos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Liebana having to interfere. Gyula Gácsi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Gergely Seres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Lindkvist in the 44th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ferenc Sipos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeronimo Liebana was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Soproni Kullancsok were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
