József Bakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Veres, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Yeovil's goal looked a bit too open when Aladár Czene came free, but Marcell Hellinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márk Kántor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Attila Veres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yeovil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. József Bakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attila Veres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szõc SI were furious when Zsolt Pető was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Szõc SI:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yeovil:s goal. Szõc SI's József Bakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márk Kántor in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Yeovil booed when Szõc SI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Iványi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Szõc SI's goal looked a bit too open when Attila Veres came free, but József Bakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Szõc SI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Attila Veres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 47th minute Attila Veres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but József Bakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Szõc SI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yeovil were winning 0-5.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Attila Veres was the one to do the kick off. József Bakos came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Yeovil's Attila Veres. But to his dismay, Attila Veres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After some careless play in the Szõc SI defense, Attila Veres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of József Bakos. The Szõc SI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that József Bakos should have stopped the shot. The nice shot from Attila Veres in the 64thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but József Bakos had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Yeovil's Renátó Szőlősi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Balázs Mónos in the 72 minute of the game. Márk Kántor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but József Bakos made a huge save. Norbert Bodor hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Attila Veres in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of József Bakos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg József Bakos managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Yeovil's Attila Veres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yeovil were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Szõc SI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Márk Kántor took the corner. Márk Kántor made a great header on Yeovil's corner, it was just that Szõc SI's József Bakos managed to reach the ball for a save. Attila Veres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pál Deák kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Attila Veres might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over József Bakos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Attila Veres ran back to his position shaking his head. Szõc SI's József Bakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Szõc SI from getting a goal against them. When Attila Veres came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Yeovil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Attila Veres couldn't finish the play. Attila Veres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Krisztián Harsányi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes, Szõc SI's Tibor Kiss shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcell Hellinger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szõc SI reached it. József Bakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márk Kántor in the 95th minute of the match. The Szõc SI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Yeovil were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
