When Márton Koós fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puskás Akadémia's protests and gave Márton Koós a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Puskás Akadémia got a freekick which was hit by Márton Koós. After 3 played minutes, GoalHunters's Leontin Traianescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gusztáv Horváth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GoalHunters reached it. Zsolt Medve kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Gusztáv Horváth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Jerrold in the 6th minute of the match. Radu Corbu made in the 8th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Darius Plop immediately put the ball in play. When GoalHunters's Denis Oprescu in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puskás Akadémia's goalie prevented a goal. João Gaúcho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gusztáv Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Gaúcho in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute GoalHunters were awarded a corner. Leontin Traianescu went to the cornerflag to take it. 37 minutes into the match, GoalHunters's goal looked a bit too open when Ede Erős came free, but Daniel Jienescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Oprescu in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gusztáv Horváth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of GoalHunters booed when Puskás Akadémia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márton Koós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gusztáv Horváth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Oprescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gusztáv Horváth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Jerrold in the 43rd minute of the match. If João Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gusztáv Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Jerrold in the 45th minute of play. Denis Oprescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gusztáv Horváth having to interfere. Gusztáv Horváth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Jerrold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Oprescu was the one to do the kick off. 0-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Pedro Jerrold elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márton Koós in the 56th minute of play forced GoalHunters's goalkeeper Daniel Jienescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes GoalHunters got a freekick which was hit by João Gaúcho. Gusztáv Horváth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Jerrold, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 62 played minutes Puskás Akadémia got a freekick which was hit by Tamás Portik. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Oprescu in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gusztáv Horváth saved Puskás Akadémia from getting behind. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Márton Koós sped through GoalHunters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Jienescu. Puskás Akadémia's Vendel Hellinger was substituted for Adorján Lantos. In the 76th minute GoalHunters were awarded a corner. Leontin Traianescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Gusztáv Horváth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Bujor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Puskás Akadémia's goalkeeper Gusztáv Horváth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Bujor. Gusztáv Horváth was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Jerrold showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. Gusztáv Horváth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, GoalHunters's Denis Oprescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Pedro Jerrold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gusztáv Horváth having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GoalHunters eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
