In the 19th minute Ruby Muzakki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Horváth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goal looked a bit too open when Tamás Fülep came free, but András Horváth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Csókos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Haedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zalán Kovács might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evrim Balz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Szajk LC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Szajk LC's Zalán Kovács looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 35th minute, one of Csókos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Csókos FC. In the 39th minute of the match Szajk LC got a corner. Csókos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lajos Józsa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Freddy Haedo's late challenge caught a Szajk LC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Haedo helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Haedo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tibor Bósa hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Zalán Kovács fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrim Balz having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

András Horváth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruby Muzakki, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zalán Kovács in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evrim Balz saved Csókos FC from getting behind. Csókos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Csongor Csorba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The throw-in from Freddy Haedo in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Szajk LC's Jonas Cesaro. With a little luck, Szajk LC's András Horváth got control of the ball when Robby Rouvroys tried to sneak it across the goal line. Csókos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
