In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Csabagyöngye's Rich Durbridge got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zalán Kovács in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Péter Mészáros saved Csabagyöngye from getting behind. Szajk LC's attentive Zénó Polgár managed to snatch the ball when Lajos Kárpáthy made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. Csongor Csorba came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Péter Mészáros could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Csongor Csorba got free with Péter Mészáros in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's Zalán Kovács sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Péter Mészáros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zalán Kovács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Péter Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zalán Kovács, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zalán Kovács had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Kiss in the 36th minute of play forced Szajk LC's goalkeeper András Horváth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Gabriel Fabelo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szajk LC's András Horváth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Fabelo in the 40th minute of play. Csongor Csorba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Péter Mészáros made a huge save. In the 46th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csongor Csorba to maneuver through the defense. The Szajk LC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Csabagyöngye were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Zalán Kovács in the 52nd minute of play forced Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zalán Kovács scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Péter Mészáros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Zalán Kovács's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Péter Mészáros was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Árpád Konkoly got away a dangerous shot. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Csabagyöngye's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Fabelo in the 80th minute of play. Tibor Bósa charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tibor Bósa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tibor Bósa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Szajk LC's András Horváth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Szajk LC from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Csongor Csorba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Mészáros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Levente Makkai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szajk LC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Csabagyöngye's Péter Mészáros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levente Makkai in the 89th minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, Szajk LC's Levente Makkai made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Péter Mészáros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Péter Mészáros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Bósa in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to Szajk LC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zsolt Nagy hit a great ball. Szajk LC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Csabagyöngye had controlled the match.
