JULM C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Bolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, JULM C.F.'s Jorginho Brodel got control of the ball when Kim Bolas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sliema Dragons FC's zone, Ma Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Axisa came out of the goal and Ma Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When 邱卫荣 fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JULM C.F.'s protests and gave 邱卫荣 a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, JULM C.F.'s 邱卫荣 got a free kick in the 12th minute. The long shot by Giovanni Demicoli in the 13th minute really tested Jorginho Brodel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Tiburcio Lejalde fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JULM C.F.'s protests and gave Tiburcio Lejalde a yellow card for diving instead. Emil Nikopensius got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ma Tian. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Kiesel in the 20th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Mike Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, JULM C.F.'s goalkeeper Jorginho Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Bolas. Mike Axisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Tian in the 23rd minute of play. JULM C.F.'s Jorginho Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save JULM C.F. from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes in the game, Kim Bolas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jorginho Brodel having to interfere. Mike Axisa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Tian in the 32nd minute of play. If Kim Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind JULM C.F.'s goalkeeper Jorginho Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after JULM C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giovanni Demicoli took the corner. The corner led Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan to a score. 2-0 in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ma Tian was the one to do the kick off. Ma Tian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Mike Axisa made a huge save. The corner led JULM C.F.'s Tiburcio Lejalde to fire away a dangerous shot which Mike Axisa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. JULM C.F. made a substitution. Helari Heinaru replaced 孟洋青. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Selman Onkal replaced Ulises Ixidor. After having played for 77 minutes, Ma Tian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JULM C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ma Tian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mike Axisa made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ben Kiesel sent off a good shot on target. Emil Nikopensius hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. JULM C.F.'s Jorginho Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gábor Illés in the 93rd minute of play.

JULM C.F.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
