S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 6th minute of play. If Virgílio Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano de Toledo in the 13th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Robinho Castro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gilvan Seco got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Oséas Vasconcelos. Jarbas Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 32nd minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai in the 41st minute of play. Jarbas Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Trigo in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of S S Palestra Italia booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarbas Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Virgílio Trigo had several of the S S Palestra Italia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Jarbas Guedes as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes got control of the ball when Virgílio Trigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jarbas Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Breckenfeld in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Glauco Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match Rony Tasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelino Nueva skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes got control of the ball when Mai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rony Tasso struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Angelino Nueva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S S Palestra Italia. 81 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mai. S S Palestra Italia's Jarbas Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save S S Palestra Italia from getting a goal against them. Jarbas Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 85th minute. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Mai took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Jarbas Guedes to make any attempt to save it. Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Guedes having to interfere. Jarbas Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Valverde in the 96th minute of the match. Reko-Recko 03™'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
