An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Çağa in the 3rd minute of play forced Dragons EC's goalkeeper Casper Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Emil Chwalkiewicz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Lobanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatoliy Lobanov in the 6th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatoliy Lobanov in the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 10th minute of play forced Dragons EC's goalkeeper Casper Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Anatoliy Lobanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Club Atlético Atlanta got a corner. Dragons EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Chwalkiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Emil Chwalkiewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Huygens quite easily take care of the ball. After 22 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Nevada. Anatoliy Lobanov might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anatoliy Lobanov ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudinho Braga hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Emil Chwalkiewicz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Anatoliy Lobanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. César Sampaio was slow to take the kick. During this time Dragons EC's players had a chance to rest. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şevket Çağa made a kick off. The throw-in from Emil Chwalkiewicz in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dragons EC's Nilson Bastos. When Club Atlético Atlanta's Şevket Çağa in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dragons EC's goalie prevented a goal. Marcos Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. José Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pankracy Glogowski having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Dragons EC's goal looked a bit too open when Şevket Çağa came free, but Casper Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Şevket Çağa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Casper Huygens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Emil Chwalkiewicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Huygens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Casper Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match Club Atlético Atlanta got a corner. Dragons EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anatoliy Lobanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatoliy Lobanov. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Dragons EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Şevket Çağa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Huygens was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
