In the 14thth minute of the game Şevket Çağa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski got control of the ball when Hugo Haupt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Ingmar Stempfle. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Chwalkiewicz in the 19th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. After 23 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Chwalkiewicz who took care of the corner kick. 24 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Berdoi came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximilian Henning in the 28th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Hugo Haupt could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Pankracy Glogowski however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Caradaro in the 39th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, one of Rot-Weiss-Essen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rot-Weiss-Essen. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 55th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Caradaro came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şevket Çağa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of August Hoffmanns when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 69 in the game by Şevket Çağa from a close distance when the talented August Hoffmanns managed to make a qualified save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players were relieved. After 72 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. If Hugo Haupt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos got a free kick in the 81st minute. Leif-Eric Albrecht's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif-Eric Albrecht helped the player get up and apologised. When Hugo Haupt got free in front of the goal in the 97th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Pankracy Glogowski was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rot-Weiss-Essen from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
