In the 4th minute Paşa Palla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Balestra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Polito got a throw-in 7 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aristides Nel. Olov Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Donato Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calenzano's Donato Balestra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Holmberg in the 14th minute of play. When Arturo Di Matteo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Calenzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Di Matteo couldn't finish the play. Amos Colagrossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Calenzano's Donato Balestra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Calenzano from getting a goal against them. Calenzano's attentive Ahmed Sinan managed to snatch the ball when Murillo Porto made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Arturo Di Matteo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of L.R. Vicenza's Amos Colagrossi. Amos Colagrossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calenzano's Donato Balestra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Calenzano from getting a goal against them. Murillo Porto made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Anselmo Polito however managed to control. Arturo Di Matteo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amos Colagrossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Di Matteo ran back to his position shaking his head. Amos Colagrossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Calenzano got a freekick which was hit by Achille Sciamanna. After 46 minutes of play, L.R. Vicenza's Aristides Nel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Balestra was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Di Matteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donato Balestra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paşa Palla, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Donato Balestra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Nel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calenzano made a substitution. Pierrot Leenpoels replaced Arturo Di Matteo. Calenzano's Achille Sciamanna managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anselmo Polito in the 66 minute of the game. In the 68th minute Calenzano were awarded a corner. Fedele Alessandrini went to the cornerflag to take it. Paşa Palla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Balestra having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Pierrot Leenpoels recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amos Colagrossi. Pierrot Leenpoels showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Nel in the 79th minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. L.R. Vicenza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Pierrot Leenpoels scored to the left of an out of position Amos Colagrossi, making the score, 1-3. A collision led to Calenzano getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Achille Sciamanna hit a great ball. Ennio Daniele kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Calenzano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
